Tia Air Conditioners – Key Points of Difference

1. Sealed Circuit Boards

Outdoor units in Australia face a unique problem from insects and vermin that seek the heat that these boards generate. These creatures walk on the boards, arching a positive and negative terminal and blowing the boards. Tia systems are designed to minimise this by, firstly, sealing the boards in areas where this is a problem and, secondly, locating the heat sink that holds and disperses this heat in a separate fan compartment, thereby giving better efficiency and a non-critcal area for the creatures.

2. Six-Tier Rust protection

All Tia air conditioners are made from sixteen-gauge steel and have six layers of rust protection. Tia air conditioners are tested for salt spray protection for 2000 hours (twice the normal rate), making them ideal for Australia’s mainly coastal population.

3. Tio2 Gold Fin – Sustainable Energy Efficiency

Tia-Air’s range of air conditioners all come standard with TiO2 gold fin coils on both the indoor and outdoor units. This coating offers superior durability, energy efficiency and air purification. The TiO2 system gives greater resistance to corrosion than a standard blue or gold fin model and offers greater energy efficiency and reduced operating noise.

The system acts like an anti-bacterial Teflon coating, as water beads form on the unit’s heat exchanger fins, they immediately slip off, flushing any dirt or dust particles with them. This constantly cleans the coil, keeping the as-new energy efficiency for up to eight years, unlike standard blue or gold fin coils, which clog up with these contaminants, greatly reducing energy efficiency and reliability and increasing operating noise. TiO2 active ingredients also kill 99.975% of bacteria and germs and remove odour particles and small dirt particles from the air.

4. Filtration System (Wall Splits)

Stage 1 & 2 are 3M HAF (high Airflow Filter) and carbon active filter which remove odours from the air.Stage 3 is the Nano Titanium Silver filter, one of the world’s most effective anti bacterial filters.

Stage 4 is the unique and patented TiO2 coated coils which kill up to 99.9975% of germs.

Stage 5 (Final) of the F5 filtration system is the cold plasma ion generator which charge the ions in the air removing dust, dust mites, contaminants, pollen, pet fur and smoke from the air and leaving a healthy environment.

5. Technology – DC Inverter

Tia’s Inverter technology air conditioners allow a room to reach its required temperature more rapidly, offering up to 30% more efficiency and eliminating the stop-start operation of a non-inverter system.Tia DC Inverters adjust by increasing or decreasing the speed of the compressor in order to efficiently maintain the desired temperature. This makes Tia’s DC Inverter range of air conditioners more powerful, while being more energy efficient that constant speed systems.

The permanent magnet motor featured in the DC compressor maintains magnetic current without the need for a constant source of electricity. This ensures the motor suffers less ambient energy loss, delivering 10% greater energy efficiency than the equivalent AC inverters.

Tia’s Power Active Model (PAM) Inverter system suppresses electrical distortion to minimise power losses to less than 1%. Heating performance is particularly improved. The PAM system also allows for voltage fluctuation in the electricity supply of up to 20%, giving them greater reliability.

6. Warranty, Service and Spare Parts

All Tia domestic air conditioners – that is, units sold and used for domestic purposes – come with a comprehensive 5-year parts and labour warranty. Systems sold and used for commercial purposes attract a 2-year warranty.In the unlikely event of a malfunction, your PLANET POWER store will always be the first port of call for service.
