How does the FutureWave™ Energy Saver Work?
Most household pumps have single phase motors, which are inherently inefficient as they use a large amount of energy to start. In addition, these pumps are not designed to have the speed of the motor reduced, so they stay on the one speed the entire time, consuming the same amount of energy regardless of the job they are doing.
The FutureWave™ Energy Saver will soft-start the pump motor, removing the large initial start-up demand for power. The pump will then operate at close to its normal rate for up to a minute while it primes the pump. Once the pump is fully primed, there is no need for it to draw the same amount of energy to do the job required. The
Energy Saver will wind the motor back down to the energy saving level selected, thus saving significant amounts of power without having any detrimental effect on the running of your pool.

SAVINGS WITHOUT COMPROMISING WATER QUALITY
With a reduction in the speed of the motor also comes a smaller proportional reduction of water through the pump. This allows the filter to clean or polish the water at a much more effective rate as the vast majority of pumps are trying to force the water through filters at a much higher rate or pressure than what is required for optimum results.
There is no need for additional use of chemicals, salt or acid.
Despite the reduced flow, the higher efficiency levels mean that the pump does not have to be run longer.
The slightly reduced flow will not normally effect the function or effectiveness of a pool Creepy Crawly / Barracuda device – in fact, in many cases it will improve results by reducing the cavitations effect caused by excess pressure though the cleaner head.
Several trials have been conducted to establish the filtration power of the FutureWave™ Energy Saver, including daily monitoring at a major regional aquatic centre.
Laboratory tests and extended trials at major tourist attractions and apartment blocks have demonstrated a total lack of reduction in water quality.
Once the FutureWave™ Energy Saver decreases the motor speed, you will notice a dramatic reduction in noise, estimated to be as high as 80%.
